Mandale creating bespoke new premises for those with life challenges.

Hundreds of people fighting a turbulent mix of issues including debut, addiction and poor mental health will receive support, thanks to the latest build from property specialists Mandale Group.

Finchale Group – which provides one-to-one help for people facing major barriers to employment – is relocating to purpose-built premises that boast new training facilities, a drop-in centre and office space.

County Durham-based Finchale will move from its existing Pity Me headquarters to the new purpose-built premises at Belmont Business Park – placing it at the heart of the community it serves.

The three-storey, 10,000sq ft headquarters are being built by Tees-based Mandale over a six-month period and should be ready for handover before Christmas 2018.

Mandale’s estates director Joe Darragh said: “Mandale is incredibly proud to be part of this hugely significant project. It will be a truly first class facility for those who most need and deserve support.

“The high-quality build and bespoke fit-out will be the result of many months of planning between ourselves and Finchale.

“As local property experts, Mandale has been involved in larger-scale projects but this will be one of the most prestigious we’ve been involved in due to the building’s future use. It’s a privilege to be part of it.”

Along with the new premises, Finchale have also invested in a revitalised brand and a future-proofed strategy that means it is ready to deliver expert help to even more people in the region.

Mel Pears, chief executive officer of Finchale, explained: “Finchale is stronger than ever thanks to our relocation and repositioning.

“Our new home is being created with training suites, a drop-in centre and easily accessible office space that will enhance our clients’ experiences and make us fit for growth.

“With this foundation we’re now ready to reach more people across the North East – delivering one-to-one support in their homes and communities.

“Our team is building on more than 75 years of expertise by developing new ways to help people, and their families, who are facing a complex mix of issues.

“We’re implementing new services to support people who have served in our armed forces and their dependants, ex-offenders and other disadvantaged groups.”

Through its network of case managers who live and work in the region it delivers tailored support including help with work skills, job searches, managing mental health issues, managing debt and finding stable housing.

  • The Finchale headquarters is part of the second phase of Mandale development on Belmont Industrial Estate. There is space for four more similar office developments on Mandale Park.
